Research on alternatives for appropriate biodiversity offsets including engagement with key stakeholders such as indigenous communities.
By integrating best practices to implement appropriate offset actions, which at least aspire to generate a net zero loss of biodiversity, criteria are established for the search and selection of appropriate sites to implement conservation and restoration projects, ensuring additionality and equivalence. The inclusion, in early stages, of the affected communities and those connected with the selected sites is also ensured. Support is also provided for the execution phase of projects beyond obtaining the environmental permits. Templado supports the client with activities such as: review of baselines and existing experiences along with interpretation of satellite images and GIS, review of land ownership tenure conditions, determination of threats and related conservation management plans, strategic support and project design.
