Parque Andino Juncal

Management plan for conservation

From existing cartographic information, scientific and field information, conservation objects are selected, and a management plan is designed for effective conservation.

The development of a conservation management plan for an area of high conservation value requires collaborative work and also the review of existing information, especially when the generation of new information may be unattainable. In the case of the Parque Andino Juncal, a plan was developed whose main objective was to guide the owners in making decisions that may include economic activities aimed at the financial sustainability of the protected area but that are compatible with the determined conservation values. Templado supports the client with actions such as: review of existing information including cartography, GIS and satellite images, technical field visits, preparation of formal and educational and visual documents that allow a better understanding of the information generated.
